Fall Decor

Hi everyone! I am super excited to share all of my fall decor with you! I know it's not even September yet, but I really needed some cheer. I know there are a lot of people feeling the same, so lets jump right in to the fun!

Fall is my absolute favorite season! The cooler weather (well, Idaho still has heat waves until November...), the beautiful colors, harvest season, pumpkins, baking, corn maizes, the start of school, all leading up to Thanksgiving! We actually spend more time outdoors in the fall than we do in the summer! I love the beginning of our homeschooling year as well. We really dive in to our lessons and everything is new and exciting.

And last but not least: Decor! Second only to Christmas decor, fall decorating is just the best! I bought some new decor this year and had so much fun deciding where everything would go.

I got all of my old and new decorations out and spread it all out on the table to get started.

First of all this fall tree that I got last year is just amazing! The color on the maple leaves is beautiful! I love the lights. It still needs some kind of tree skirt. I am thinking a burlap one would look great!

On my entryway table  I have these cute little swags with a clear vase filled with popcorn kernels and topped with cinnamon sticks. On the left I have these two chunky candlesticks with these gorgeous pumpkins and a candle. That white board in the back is a fall sign that I am in the process of making. I'll post an updated picture of it when I'm done. :)

My favorite decoration by far is this beautiful table centerpiece I made! The box was so simple to make. I just used wood glue to hold it together and stained it in beautiful early american. Then I filled it up with all the goodies!

Like this pumpkin set! It came with plenty of pumpkins and I love the different colors!

I used a couple of fall swags that I got from the thrift store last year. Threw some extra fall leaves in there and a small votive in the center filled with popcorn kernels for a fun touch!

It's just so pretty! I've been wanting to do a fall centerpiece like this for years and I finally did it!

Over my mantle I added a simple maple garland, added in some pine cones and white pumpkins. Super easy.

My favorite part of my mantle is the banner. It really finishes off the mantle. The only thing missing are some lights. I think these or these would add a subtle touch to my garland. I love looking at a lighted mantle in the mornings.

The banner came in a set of two. I put the other one over our framed shiplap picture frame. I just love the simplicity of the burlap with that touch of fall color. It makes me happy every time I look at it!

I shared a picture of these adorable turquoise pumpkins on my Instagram and Facebook page. I love them so much! I decided that they needed to go in my bedroom. It matches the color theme of my room. My favorite season AND my favorite color! It was love at first sight.

I also bought this pack of fall maple leaves to use throughout my decorations. They are beautiful and came with a TON of leaves. The only downside to them was the odor! They smelled so bad that I ended up washing them in cold soapy water. That did the trick. And didn't damage the leaves.

I still have these fall pillow covers that will be arriving next week. I can't wait to get them!

I got my kids in on the action by doing a leaf craft. I'm going to tape them up on our upstairs shiplap sign that I use for showcasing my kids art work. I'll post a picture of it soon!

This is the kids artwork shiplap board. Soon to be covered in leaves!

Are you decorating for fall yet? Don't listen to all the naysayers, go ahead and decorate! And make some of my pumpkin bread while you're at it! However, it is over 100 degrees outside here. So I am going to enjoy my fall decor...while I sit in front of the fan and eat an ice cream cone! :)
